Commission works for sculpts are open!

Do you have a favorite or original character you would like to see sculpted into a statue or action figure form?

For an estimated quote send us an image and information about how you want your sculpture, i.e. size (inches/cm high), base (or diorama), accessories, etc.

We can elaborate concept sketches based on your ideas and we'll send you through e-mail for approval before sculpture is started.

Client will be able to follow the whole process through W.I.P. (work in progress) images, sent via e-mail.

Pressure casts is available, so your final sculpt will be free of air bubbles. Multiple casts available upon request.

No recasters allowed!

It´s funny how some people like to make some easy bucks just copying other artists´ work. And they´re not only from Asia, down here in Brazil unfortunately it´s a growing thing, like fucking cancer. I see these people making some considerable money off recasts of pieces like Randy Bowen and other sculptors. I only wish these kind of people would know how much effort it takes to come up with an original sculpt, how long a sculptor can take to sculpt a full 8 or 12 inches statue, then revise them, sometimes tweak them, make molds, make resin casts and painting masters just for approvals. It´s a work of months for some pieces and there´re those like in many other fields who just make it simple, by buying originals (or not) from internet, then buying some silicone rubber and start molding them and casting into resin copies, and not to mention THE POOR quality paint jobs using automotive paints with the excuse of being cheaper than acrylic paints (give me a break, if you want to make money of somebody´s work at least buy decent materials), and some of the paintjobs even a 5 year old kid could do better.

And the worst of all is that the same people who says something like "Hey your resin kit is way too freaking expensive, I will take it for 50 bucks if you want!" are the same people that end up paying 200 bucks for a RECAST and support those rats.

It´s sad but true. How do I know? It happened to me a few times.

But I do not support recasters nor you will see these kind of people here in my website.
So if you´re a recaster dont ask me to link your site here. Get Real!!

Adding some colors to clay

Hi there,

Andre here, I just wanted to show you something really cool. See the images above? Let me tell ya, a good friend of mine Javier or Javy A.K.A. "MiamiLoco" was so damn cool and did something really awesome for me as a favor... He added some digital colors with the help of the almighty Photoshop® to my Justice Lords´ Hawkgirl sculpt.
It is really cool to see what the final painted sculpt will look like, even before been molded and cast in resin.
So on the left side is the original Castilene green color and on the right the digitally painted Hawkgirl, really cool huh?

I would like to send a BIG THANKS to my good fella Javy!! You´re da man!! ^_^

Hi,
Just wanted to share with you a new head I´ve sculpted in an attempt to capture a famous movie character/actor likeness to make a full body sculpt. I aint gonna tell who is supposed to be, you will have to guess, only this way I will know if I´m on right path with this new project... the head is not finished yet, I need to tweak it here and there, well I hope you like it so far. :)

Itsy bitsy spider...

Damn, it has been quite a while since I´ve posted anything. eh. Well, nothing really much to show as of now, as I´m still working on the "Bandeirantes" commission work, and yet looking for a new job, not to mention so many things happened within the last month. I dunno just feel too exhausted physically and mentally, but I´m working hard, as always pushing my own limits.

Anyways, I just wanted to tease you with a little image of something I´ve been working on...Still not ready to give you full images of this piece, so I give you a little teaser which I like to call it...'itsy bitsy spider'...
Now you try to figure it out what this could be. C´mon how hard can it be?

54mm 'Bandeirante' miniature

This is my first historical sculpt, it´s a private commission work I´ve started on Friday night for a collector, it´s a 54mm Bandeirante expeditioner. I´ve taken about 8 hours to sculpt this miniature, and it will be the first of a set of 12 figures, being 6 Bandeirantes and 6 Indians. The weapons like rifle, pistol, and knife will be added later as they´re arriving from U.S.

P.S. Although this is sculpt was hella fun to do and a HUGE challenge to sculpt is such small scale, (even smaller than my Rocketeer), I gotta admit that I´m afraid that I´m going to get blind by the end of this work. lol

'Helloween Jack' completed.

Halloween´s Grim Reaper is finally completed. Hopefully this
sculpt will become a kit, still pending authorization by the character´s creator. If I get the ok, then this statue will be produced in a very limited run. My plan is to start molding Jack this month and have him ready by March, I just hope I can find some time to mold, cast and paint him, as I´m working on another sculpts.

P.S. You know what? at the begining I wasn´t too confident about this project, because I wasn´t sure how it would turn out, but right now at the end I really dig this mofo. I think it´s a really cool Halloween piece.

"Like a hood ornament." This is just a small sculpture I´m doing for practicing, I picked up Rocketeer, because it happens to be one of my favorite movies from the 90´s. This little flying hero, stands around 3,5" tall and I´m sculpting into 3 parts, base stand, rocket pack and Rocketeer. I´m currently detailing the rocket pack and I will have more pictures later. Hello boyos (and gals),

Andre here, today I´m not gonna post any current work of mine, just not yet, but instead I´m gonna post a couple of pics of some of my good bud Chris (HeadsUpCustoms) works. Chris is an AMAZING talented sculptor with his headquarter located in New Jersey, and have an outstanding portfolio and can sculpt basically ANYTHING you want. Chris, like any other sculptor is trying to make his way into the sculpting career, he is an exprienced sculptor who have been sculpting for 6 years now, and even had the honor to spend about 3 months traning his sculpting skills at NECA (Reel Toys) under the tutelage of the incredible sculptor Ray Santolieri. I guess it´s needless to say anything else about Chris´s talent and skills as sculptor right?
Well, my good fella Chris just got back from a short trip to Japan, and is now taking commissions, for statues, figures and kits. He will take commission works for any person who might want a character made into 3D form, it can be any character from Fantasy, Cartoon, Comic Book, Movies, Animals, Monsters, Human...basically anything you have in mind. This is your opportunity to get your sculpt done by Headsupcustoms, but hurry up, before he get too loaded up and your commission may take a little while to get done.

No tricks or treats...

Helloween Jack is not here for your treats, he is here for your soul.
I sculpted this creepy pumpkin headed figure based on the character created by my bud Roger. When I saw the concept my bud did it for this character I just thought with myself "Man I gotta sculpt him, he is so cool looking, and would make an awesome statue!" so I did, and only after I have finished Jack, I showed to Roger and I have to say that oh boy I was afraid he wouldn´t like it, but he not only did it, but he also gave his thumbs up (pheww). Jack stands 8" tall, sculpted in hard Castilene (as always). I will post full body pictures of him as soon as I finish retooling the base, as me and Roger thought it could have a few more details on it for coolness. This dude will be cast and painted later.

Winged girl

Hello friends, Just wanted to show you this scultpture based on the Justice League animated show. It´s the character Hawkgirl, based on the episode "A Better World" where the Justice League fight against the "Justice Lords" an alternate version of themselves from another dimension. Here Hawkgirl is the first female I ever sculpted, and although she looks finished, I still need to clean her up, polish, sculpt a better base and add some details to her mace. She was sculpted in hard Castilene, and sculpted in 1/6 scale. I can tell yeah, while I loved sculpting this figure, her wings were such a pain in the neck to do, but still fun. lol I plan to mold, cast and paint her up later.

The Green Loontern

Who dont remember the infamous yet funny Duck Dodgers Oath to the Green Lantern Corps, huh?
Yeah, that was with no doubt the coolest Episode of the show back in 2003, and as a big ass fan of the Green Lanterns, I couldnt help but make my own 'Green Loontern' figure. I sculpted this heroic-black-duck-wearing-tights back in 2004. When I showed this sculpt to my friends, they got so excited that they asked to have one on their shelves, and said "WOW", so I couldnt say no to my friends, because I got as much excited as themselves. So this was basically the first sculpt I ever sold in my life. I am very proud of this little piece.

This figure was sculpted in hard grade Chavant Clay (Plasteline) , molded in silicone rubber, cast in resin and hand painted with hobby paints (umbrol). Dodgers stands around 6" tall.

Hiya folks,

Welcome to the Green Zombie Studios blog, my name´s Andre Kevermann, and I´m 28 years old, brazilian, living in the city of Sao Paulo. Here I will be showing to you some of my sculpts and WIPS (Work In Progress) throughout my learning process at the sculpting area, I do this for fun, but I put all my effort into this, as I really wish I can make this for living someday, but I´ve been told that I should never forget about having fun with any sculpt, before thinking about making any money of it, so this is what I am doing, I am learning on my own, but with the help of some of the best guys out there in the market throughout many sculptors forums, websites and stuff.

Here I will not only post images of my own work as well images of others sculptors´ work which I find sometimes out there over the internet and they always work for me as inspiration, so we can all enjoy this great form of art which is basically come up with an idea, get a chunk of clay and molding into an amazing 3D piece.

Your comments and critics will be most welcome, because I believe every artist should take critics good or bad in a constructive way to improve himself.
